AT&T India has announced a contribution of US$25,000 (INR12,43,250) to Parikrma Humanity Foundation to provide education to under-served children in India. Parikrma has set up four Centres for Learning in Bangalore that provide the program to 996 children from 28 slum communities and six orphanages.

nokiastcMobile device maker Nokia and its telecom infrastructure company Nokia Siemens Networks have partnered with Save the Children Finland. They want to help alleviate the existing water problem caused by the current drought in Alaba Special Woreda through collaboration with the Woreda administration.

The collaboration, says Nokia, was initiated as a response to the urgent needs of children and their families in Alaba Special Woreda, an area which is dependent on rainfall and, where people are forced to travel every day over 20km to fetch water during dry seasons.
